The Middle Ground Lighthouse
Middle Ground Lighthouse, a symbol of pride, beauty, and security to the watermen of the James River and all who would gaze upon it, is now under the care and restoration of two families who consider the water to be a home of their own.
The Gonsoulins of Williamsburg, VA and the Billingsleys of Annapolis, MD are the new owners of Middle Ground. The United States Coast Guard will continue to check the service of the light regularly to maintain its function. The two families will work hard to bring the lighthouse exterior back to its original state of beauty with the added task of ensuring safety to all visitors and workers of the light.
Please browse this website and encourage us to update you on our progress. This is above all, a magnificent adventure.

I agree...its totally cool
Here is some encouragement in hopes of an update as well as pictures of what you have accomplished in your hard work on this gorgeous lighthouse. No updates in 5 years? Is there another blog? Surely you have had much interest...
I have been going out on the water with my new boyfriend of the past two years. Never got out on the water but a couple of times before I met him. Charlie has grown up on the water. He has a 17' boat that he loves. It is a very old Maxum. Some people look funny at us from their expensive boats but when he shows me the beauty out on the water such as your lighthouse that's what it's all about. I took pictures and posted on facebook and everyone loves your light. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you! We loved our tour this past Saturday. You have an amazing family and lighthouse. You had a fantastic storm to enjoy that evening, hope all fared well.
